The faded washed uneven colors effects is part of the pattern. Please note that the glow in the dark needs to be “charged” daily under bright light for about 30 minutes in order for it to glow for about 3 to 4 hours. There is no electrical wiring or source for the sheet set. It is a gentle very faint glow. It is NOT a light source. The glow effect will get weaker after wash. The picture in the listing is what the sheet look like when the room is light up and it is not glowing. The stars are uneven in shape / size and in very pale faded brown color.
